Your Bhutanese adventure unfolds as you step onto the runway of Paro International Airport, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Eastern Himalayas. A short transfer takes you to your hotel, where you'll have a moment to catch your breath and acclimate to the unique energy of this kingdom.

In the afternoon, the journey truly begins with a visit to the iconic Paro Taktsang, the legendary Tiger's Nest Monastery. Perched dramatically on a cliff, this sacred site offers not only spiritual significance but also a panorama of the Paro Valley that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The trek to the monastery is a symbolic pilgrimage, a rhythmic journey through pristine nature that sets the tone for the adventure ahead.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival and Transfer to Phuentsholing

After arriving at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), be ready to journey towards Phuentsholing or Jaigaon, which is at a distance of about 170 kilometres. Phuentsholing is the second largest town in Bhutan and lies close to Jaigaon. On arrival, enjoy your overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2 : Phuentsholing to Thimphu

After a scrumptious breakfast, travel to Thimphu. The total journey duration is about 6 to 7 hours. After enjoying a two-hour drive through the mountain forests, eye-pleasing lianas and orchids, you will pass over the first ridge and begin a long and gradual decent to the gushing river, which is the source for the massive Chhukha Hydropower Plant project. Cross the river and travel over the hills as you bid goodbye to Chhukha and the town of Chimakothi. Relish a scrumptious lunch en route. After arriving at Thimphu, check in at the hotel. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 3 : Thimphu Sightseeing

In the morning, get set to explore Tashichho Dzong, a serene Buddhist monastery and fortress on the western bank of Wang Chu. After this, visit National Institute for Zorig Chusum. This institute preserves the Bhutanese culture and tradition. After lunch, visit the National Memorial Chorten, an important landmark of Thimphu. You will also visit the Folk Heritage and National Textile Museum, a perfect place to learn about the traditional Bhutanese garments and weaving techniques of the earlier times. After a fun sightseeing time, enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4 : Thimphu to Paro

After a scrumptious lunch (2 hours), enjoy your journey to Paro, a beautiful valley town in Bhutan. On arrival, visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan, where you can see arms and armour, manuscripts, paintings, decorative items and many other interesting things on display. After this, enjoy an evening stroll along the main street. You can visit handicrafts shops and buy souvenirs or just relax in a local cafe or bar. Head to the hotel in Paro for your overnight stay.

Day 5 : Transfer from Paro to Phuentsholing

After a delicious breakfast, travel to Phuentsholing. En route, halt for a short time in Chuzom. Drive further through Chapcha and later enjoy the magnificent view of the Chhukha Dam and the spectacular Vince waterfall before arriving in Gedu, a town in the Chhukha district. After arriving Phuentsholing in the evening, check in at the hotel and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 6 : Departure

Your delightful tour of Bhutan ends today. After a scrumptious breakfast, travel to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your journey back home.
